Welcome This Girl Remembers!

Or is it thisgirlremembers?

In either case, it's great to have you in our Cluster!

Welcome! I see we have similar taste in music and read the same blogs. :)

And we have some of the same favorite books--Still Life with Woodpecker, The Eyre Affair (and I agree totally that Thursday Next and Spec Ops are far superior to the hardboiled Nursery Rhyme series!), The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.

Do you read Terry Pratchett too?

I'll answer to either. I'm not picky. Or even tgr. It's faster. And sounds like "Tigger." And while I was always partial to Eeyore, I liked him fine, too. And I could use some of his bounce in my life. So how can I lose?

Thanks for the welcome! I'll post an official introduction soon.

It's always nice to find people who listen to similar music - I've been decidedly uncool when it comes to music and pop culture for most of my life. :) I never know what to say when people ask me "what kind of music" I listen to. Um, stuff I like?

And the books, oh dear, the books! I haven't read much of Pratchett, but have had a sneaking suspicion for years that if I picked up and started reading his Discworld books I'd enjoy them. I had a mild obsession with Piers Anthony's Xanth books when I was fourteen or so. Utter fluff. Fun unapologetic fluff. I need more of that in my life! I loved Good Omens, though - that was Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, right?
